Royal Treat at Monarch's Way

Royal Treat at Monarch's Way
To celebrate the news that there’s another Royal baby on the way, Walker Group is offering a VIP package at its Monarch’s Way development in West Calder.

Buyers of the Roxburgh housetype will be treated to £500 worth of John Lewis vouchers which can be used to furnish a new nursery for parents to-be-like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, kit out a study or buy this season’s latest home accessories.

The offer is available on new reservations before the end of November and cannot be used in conjunction with any other incentives.

Sandy Casey, Director Walker Group said: “Furnishing a new home can be expensive, especially when it is as spacious as the Roxburgh so this will give buyers a helping hand, whether they are decking out a nursery like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex or adding the finishes touches to the lounge or family room.”

The Roxburgh is a grand five bedroom home with a generous lounge, separate family room or home office and a lovely kitchen with a dining area and two en-suite bedrooms. A utility room, downstairs cloakroom and garage complete the ground floor. Upstairs the master bedroom and second bedroom both have ensuites and all of the bedrooms come with their own wardrobes. There is also a family bathroom and it is priced at £326,000.

Monarch’s Way features a collection of two, three, four and five bedroom family homes when complete, just four miles from Livingston. Named after Charles X, who visited West Calder in 1832 when in exile from his native France, Monarch’s Way features some of the developer’s most sought after house types.

Surrounded by countryside, Monarch’s Way is just a short distance from West Calder’s centre which offers a range of shops, a supermarket, cafes, bars, restaurants and professional services.

Ideally located for commuters with its own train station, there are regular services from West Calder to Edinburgh taking only 27 minutes, ideal for those commuting to work in the big city, while passengers can get to Livingston in just 3 minutes. It’s just a ten minute drive to The Centre Livingston which is one of Scotland’s leading retail destinations with over 155 shops and a tempting selection of restaurants and cafes.

The kids will love West Calder’s Five Sisters Zoo which has over 160 species of mammals, birds and reptiles - from meerkats to arctic wolves. Recent additions include four ex-circus lions. A great family day out, visitors can also enjoy the large outdoor play and picnic area. There are four good primary schools in the village and there are plans to replace the current West Calder High School with a brand new multi-million pound building which will provide a state-of-the-art learning environment.

There are lots of things to see and do in the surrounding area including a visit to Almondell and Calderwood Country Park, where you can walk the dog, picnic by the riverside or explore the woodland where you can see Roe deer roaming wild. Buyers can see the very high standard of accommodation on offer by visiting the new Gladstone showhome which pays homage to the new wave of Scandinavian design.

With designs from Carol Yates Interior Design, it has the unfussy, relaxed, contemporary look that is the hallmark of Nordic design and features a colour palette of greys, whites and blues along with oak furniture. The showhome and sales office at Monarch’s Way are open from Thursday to Monday 11am-5pm. For further information call 01506 870 647 or www.walkergroup.co.uk
