The Springfield Group employees Wear it Green for Mental Health
22nd May 2023
Employees at one of Scotland’s leading home builders, The Springfield Group, have raised nearly £500 for the Mental Health Foundation.
Staff at The Springfield Group, which is comprised of home building brands Springfield Properties, Dawn Homes, Walker Group, Tulloch Homes and Mactaggart & Mickel Homes, arranged a fundraising day as part of Mental Health Awareness week.
Employees in the Group’s Inverness, Elgin, Glasgow and Larbert offices held a raffle, bake sale and donned green attire for “Wear it Green day” to support the mental wellbeing charity and raised a total of £483.66.
This year, the theme of Mental Health Awareness Week is anxiety. With this theme, The Mental Health Foundation is focusing on increasing the awareness of anxiety, while providing information to help people manage the emotion and prevent it from becoming a problem.
Springfield Chief Executive, Innes Smith, said:
“Across the Springfield Group, we are dedicated to supporting positive mental health today and every day for our employees, subcontractors, and their families.
“This week is a great opportunity to shine a light on the importance of health and wellbeing while recognising how we can all do more to normalise the conversation and provide one another support.
“I am proud our employees have come together to highlight this message and have raised money for a great cause.”
