Through the Keyhole at Monarch's Way
A showhome inspired by the best in Scandi style is being unveiled at Monarch’s Way in West Calder this weekend (13th May).

With designs from Carol Yates Interior Design, the four bedroom Gladstone has the unfussy, relaxed, contemporary style of the best Swedish homes and features a colour palette of soft greys, whites and blues and elegant oak furniture.
It opens at 11am on Saturday 13th and visitors will have a chance to look round and enjoy a glass of fizz.

Sandy Casey, Director of Walker Group said: “The house is absolutely beautiful and I am sure buyers will love it. It has a very laid-back feel and I particularly like the clean lines of the open plan kitchen/diner with its lovely table with bench and high backed button sofa.  It would be perfect for informal dining and conversation over shared platters of delicious food.”

Monarch’s Way will feature a collection of two, three, four and five bedroom family homes when complete, just four miles from Livingston.

Prices currently start from £173,000 for a three bedroom Albury ranging to £265,000 for a four bedroom Canterbury Corner.
Named after Charles X, who visited West Calder in 1832 when in exile from his native France, Monarch’s Way features some of the developer’s most sought after house types.
Surrounded by countryside, Monarch’s Way is just a short distance from West Calder’s centre which offers a range of shops, a supermarket, cafes, bars, restaurants and professional services.

Ideally located for commuters with its own train station, there are regular services from West Calder to Edinburgh taking just 27 minutes and passengers can get to Livingston in just 3 minutes. It’s just a ten minute drive to The Centre Livingston which is one of Scotland’s leading retail destinations with over 155 shops and a tempting selection of restaurants and cafes.
The kids will love West Calder’s Five Sisters Zoo which has over 160 species of mammals, birds and reptiles - from meerkats to arctic wolves.  Recent additions include four ex-circus lions. A great family day out, visitors can also enjoy the large outdoor play and picnic area.
There are four good primary schools in the village and there are plans to replace the current West Calder High School with a brand new multi-million pound building which will provide a state-of-the-art learning environment.

There are lots of things to see and do in the surrounding area including a visit to Almondell and Calderwood Country Park, where you can walk the dog, picnic by the riverside or explore the woodland where you can see Roe deer roaming wild.
The showhome and sales office at Monarch’s Way EH55 8UX will be open from Thursday to Monday 11am-5.30pm. For further information call 01506 413101 or www.walkergroup.co.uk
