Last chance to buy in Britain's Property Hotspot
Edinburgh and Falkirk are the fastest places in Britain to sell a home according to the latest research by property website Zoopla.

Their figures show the wait for an offer in each place takes just 27 days, less than than half the British average of 56 days.

With so much demand for homes in the area, it’s no surprise that Walker Group has brought forward the release of its final properties at its ever popular The Braes in Falkirk.

Only four properties now remain for sale there including the Lismore for £239,000, the Canterbury priced at £277,000, the Canterbury Corner at £286,000 and the Gladstone at £295,000.

Sandy Casey, Director Walker Group, said: “The Braes has been a huge hit with buyers who love the views from the development, close proximity to amenities and house-styles on offer.

“We will be sad to say goodbye to The Braes as it is such a friendly place, but hopefully we will return to the area at a later date.

“The final homes are all fabulous plots and buyers will have to act now to ensure they don’t miss out.”

An impressive detached four bedroom home, the Lismore has large lounge and open plan dining room which is ideal for entertaining as its double French doors open to the rear garden, a kitchen with dining area, separate utility, downstairs cloakroom and integrated garage.

Upstairs the master bedroom has an ensuite and there is a family bathroom.

The ultimate forever home, the Canterbury Corner has a welcoming reception hall, bright front-facing lounge and a 24ft long open plan kitchen and family room. A utility, cloakroom and integral garage complete the ground floor.

Upstairs the master bedroom has its own ensuite and an enviable dressing room and there are a further three bedrooms.

The Braes features 73 three, four and five bedroom family homes, with high quality finishes and fittings such as integrated fridge freezers as standard. Each property includes stylish and practical kitchens and bathrooms, along with high-efficiency heating systems and appliances to help ease carbon footprint concerns. Turfed front gardens are also standard.

Local attractions include Callendar Park, an ideal place to spend the day exploring the woods, visiting the ornamental gardens or taking a boat trip on the loch.

The Park is home to the magnificent Callendar House dating back to the 14th Century, which played host to Mary Queen of Scots, Oliver Cromwell, Bonnie Prince Charlie and Queen Victoria.

The surrounding area offers renowned attractions such Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and the Falkirk Wheel, as well as superb local amenities for shopping, sport and leisure. Excellent road and transport links allow easy access to all of central Scotland, whilst the thriving town of Falkirk is home to several top restaurants, bars and high street stores.

Families are well catered for locally, with a number of respected schools in the area and Falkirk College providing excellent educational facilities.
