PUTTING DOWN ROOTS IN SEVEN WELLS

PUTTING DOWN ROOTS IN SEVEN WELLS
When green fingered Sarah Williamson saw the large garden of one of the properties at Walker Group’s Seven Wells in East Calder, she knew she had found her new family home.

She and husband John had lived in their three bedroom home in Kingsknowe in Edinburgh for 28 years but wanted to move out of the city to somewhere quieter.

They visited lots of new build developments in Edinburgh and the Lothians but were instantly taken with the Glanford Corner house type at Seven Wells and its generous back garden.

Sarah said: “We loved the open outlook of the garden and the surrounding fields and it is great to have the chance to start afresh with a completely new space.”

An even bigger priority for the Williamson’s new home was enough space to accommodate visits from their young grandchildren and the roomy Glanford Corner certainly ticked all the right boxes.

A stylish four bedroom home, the Glanford Corner features a large lounge to the front of the property with a separate dining room with patio doors and a large kitchen, both designed to make the most of the views of the garden. A separate utility room and cloakroom completes the ground floor.

Upstairs there are four spacious bedrooms with the master featuring a gorgeous dressing room and an en-suite. There is also a light-filled family bathroom, ideal for splashing tots, or for tired mums to have a relaxing soak.

Sarah added: “It is a great house with loads of room for everyone to come and stay and I love having them here.”

The Williamsons have also been impressed with the quality of the property. “I was quite surprised by how many things come as standard with a Walker home, things like fitted wardrobes in all the bedrooms,” said Sarah.

A short drive from The Centre Livingston, one of Scotland’s leading retail destinations with over 155 shops and restaurants, East Calder is the perfect place to explore the best of both worlds. Almondell & Calderwood Country Park are on the doorstep and there are 75 cycle routes in the unspoilt countryside.

The village itself has great facilities with a range of local shops, two good primary schools, a doctor’s surgery and the Xcite Sports Centre, featuring a recently refurbished Health and Fitness Centre and Sports Hall.
