The developer is hosting a special open weekend for new buyers on 19th and 20th November at the exclusive development of 14 homes less than 25 minutes drive from Edinburgh.

Financial advisors will be on hand to guide potential buyers through the whole mortgage process and experts from Walker Group will be available to explain some of the great offers on selected properties.

Deals for first time buyers include shared equity on selected plots and free carpets and flooring for buyers who move in before Christmas.

Sandy Casey, Sales and Marketing Director at Walker Group, said: “Buying a home for the first time can seem overwhelming as there are so many things to consider from the right mortgage to the number of bedrooms.

“Our first time buyers event is designed to be very informal so that buyers can find out just what is involved in purchasing a property and get some handy tips from industry experts.”

Properties currently available at the development include the stunning three bedroom Cortland villa which features a large bright lounge, along with a good-sized dining kitchen and a handy reception room, which could be used as a study or TV room. The ground floor also boasts a downstairs cloakroom.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms, all fitted with storage, with the master offering an ensuite facility. A large family bathroom and a single garage completes the property. This property is priced at £220,000.

Also on offer is the Braeburn from £170,000. Named after one of the great British apples, the Braeburn is available as either a mid or end terraced property and features two bedrooms and a spacious living room.

All properties are finished to a very high specification and come complete with an integral fridge freezer and wardrobes.

Sandy added: “Orchard Row has been popular with buyers of all ages attracted not just by the build quality and high specification of these properties but by the amazing location in the heart of the picturesque Valley of South Esk, surrounded by the Moorfoot and Pentland hills.”

Just eight miles from Edinburgh, Bonnyrigg’s proximity to the capital has made it a popular residential location. Set in a leafy location, Orchard Row is close to local amenities including great pubs, shops and schools, with Tesco on the doorstep.

Further information on Orchard Row is available by visiting the show home which is open Saturday and Sunday from 1pm to 5pm
