Walker Group unveils new showhome at The Elms

Reflecting the catwalk’s current love affair with sumptuous silks and rich fabrics, the new four bedroom Glanford showhome oozes grown-up appeal.

Designed by Amabile Design, it features a rich palette of browns and on-trend oranges. The light-filled lounge is a real showpiece of the property with its modernist living flame fireplace, striking brown, beige and orange striped curtains, cream sofa and orange lampshades. The feature wallpaper is embellished with extravagant white flowers on a brown background. Fur cushions add additional rock-star appeal to the room.

The dining room again uses texture to great effect with dappled grey wallpaper, extravagant chocolate silk curtains with elegant tangerine coloured lining and dining table with orange accessories.

The kitchen is a real talking point with striking contemporary units, black glass table and brown blinds with multi-coloured dots.

Upstairs the master bedroom rips up the design rule book with striped  wallpaper and floral bedcovers and curtains, working together beautifully to make a deliciously sophisticated boudoir. 

The black velvet headboard and square black pleated silk lampshade, add further drama to the interior which has oriental motifs with orchid floral arrangements and a framed silk kimono on one of the walls. However the really striking thing about this gorgeous room is the huge walk in wardrobe, which would make even Carrie Bradshaw sigh with contentment.

A beautiful ensuite with cherry wood panelling and square suspended sink, completes the stylish bedroom suite.

The designer has gone for a more masculine feel in the second bedroom which has stripey grey and orange headboard and chair, pearly grey bedcovers and wallpaper on one wall and darker gunmetal textured paper on another. Dove silk curtains with darker pewter linings add the finishing touch to this room.

The teenager’s bedroom has a nautical theme, while the fourth bedroom has been dressed as a study with a black feature wall, orange chairs and oh so sophisticated black desk and chair.
