Step 1: We’ll Help You Find Your Perfect Home

Our friendly and professional sales advisors are the best people to talk to when you’re searching for your new home. They can help you choose a home that will best suit you and your family. To do this, they'll use their knowledge of the local area, their experience in the new build industry and their understanding of the range of house styles on offer at the development.

How we help

You probably know the kind of home you’d like and the place where you’d like to live. However, when it comes to making your final choice, nothing beats coming down to one of our developments to get a first-hand look at what’s available on the development and to see for yourself the quality of the homes we build.

When you visit we’ll help you to:

Find out about the location

Visiting a Walker Group development is the best way to get a real feel for its location. Our sales advisors will be happy to provide you with all the local information you need, including the public transport options, schooling and leisure facilities on offer in the area.

Get a feel for what’s available

Every Walker Group development offers a great choice of house styles that cater for a wide range of buyers. So whatever size your family, you'll find a home that will suit your needs. We are particularly proud of the fact that we provide a higher specification and put more into our homes than many of our competitors, saving you money in the longer term.

Customise your new home

On most of the properties we offer, you will be able to customise your new home by choosing elements such as kitchens, bathrooms and tiles from our inspiring range of options. We aim to make this step in the buying process as much fun as possible.

Understand the buying process

Our sales team will talk you through the buying process, so that you’ll know exactly what will happen and when. They’ll answer any questions you might have and give you the information you need to make an informed purchasing decision. They will talk you through how our after-sales service works and tell you more about the 10-year NHBC guarantee that comes with all our homes.

Step 2: We’ll Help You Make The Finances Work

Receive independent advice through our Financial Advisor

To make sure that you get a mortgage product that suits you best our advisors will put you in touch with an Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) – someone who will give you expert and unbiased advice on the best mortgage products available.

How we help

To further help you through this process, we’ll liaise directly with the IFA to provide you with a seamless, stress-free home buying experience. Our IFA is contactable by our clients seven days a week and can provide you with a confidential rapid response regarding the affordability of your proposed purchase and repayments. He will also be able to help you get a prompt decision in principal from your lenders.

Step 3: We’ll Make The Paperwork Stress Free

At Walker Group we’ve helped thousands of families successfully navigate the administrative and legal aspects of buying a new home. Our skilled advisors will keep you updated on progress throughout the whole buying process.

How we help

Even if you have bought a house before and are an experienced buyer, there are many ways we can help you so that your house purchase goes smoothly. To give you added peace of mind, we will provide you with a guide that provides answers to frequently asked questions and covers the buying process from start to finish. We will also give you a copy of our Customer Charter and the Consumer Code.

The conveyancing process

Once you’ve reserved your home, you will need to provide us with your solicitor's details. Don’t worry if you don’t have a solicitor as we can put you in touch with one of our panel solicitors who are experienced and offer competitive rates to our buyers.

Get your mortgage finalised

There are also a number of steps you will have to take to get your mortgage finalised – these include getting a valuation and survey of your new home.

To help you through this process, we can liaise directly with your Independent Financial Advisor. This will help provide you with a seamless, stress-free home buying experience.
